…and baby makes four…

That’s right, our little family of 3 is increasing by 1 more! I have been asking Alie if she would like to do some maternity photos in hopes she would say yes. Here lately she has been so ready for all of the little nuances of being pregnant to go away just so she can enjoy this last pregnancy and her family. Our new son, who coincidentally is due in 5 days, has been giving his mother a hard time and I just wanted to do something to make her feel better about herself. She finally agreed to some “quick” pictures in the backyard a few weekends ago and said that she may be up for more in the coming weeks until his delivery. Lets just say that she hasn’t been in the mood for any more pictures since our quick session, so she finally let me post what I did have. I think she still looks just as beautiful as ever and of course sweet Maggie had to be included to make for some memorable photos!

…wonder…

We got to spend a portion of last week over in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. This is where Alie and I went on our honeymoon almost 7 years ago, and boy has it continued to grow and change since we were here last. We had the whole family with us this time — Juju, Poppie Eddie, the Freeman family, and of course little Maggie. We had such a great time with each other and (besides the go-carts) the most fun I had was at the aquarium we visited. It was the Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg, and it was so much fun. Alie and I had also visited this aquarium when we were here last, and it too had improved. The kids loved all that the aquarium had to offer, and I managed to get a few pictures while we were there.

The aquarium had these tank observation windows that emitted a wonderful blue light and had a shade of blue that you would have to see to believe.

I love this picture of Maggie and Bunny…it is what gave me inspiration for the title of this post.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Nothing makes you feel more special than a day celebrated in your honor. I couldn’t think of anyone else I would rather honor more than my wife and mother of our daughter. She is such an awesome woman and I am just the luckiest to have someone like her. At her request we had a small session this past Sunday to celebrate Mother’s Day. I loved the pictures that we created, but I decided to only post one as it speaks the most to the holiday 🙂

Maggie Moo!

Well, any photographer will tell you that it is the hardest thing to get pictures of your own children as you have to schedule a time with yourself just so you will do it! I can certainly attest to that as I have been trying for the past two months to get some pictures of my sweet little Maggie. She is just growing up so big and even though we think she is entering her “terrible-two’s” early, she is still the sweetest little girl with some great manners! She says “peas” (please) and “taint yoooo” (thank you) as well as so many other words and she is just so much fun and has so much personality. As much as I can’t wait to watch her grow even more I miss my little bitty cuddle bunny that would snuggle up with you for a nap! Now, she won’t even sit still long enough to think about getting a nap with her 🙂

She was again trying to be like daddy and she was taking my picture with her camera…how stinking cute!

This has to be my favorite. Just look at this smirk! She was definitely tired of me being in her face with the camera.

 

Last but not least I had to get some gorgeous pictures of my little hottie! She was looking quite rocker-chic and I had to capture a few shots. Just look how beautiful she is!! Aren’t I just the luckiest 🙂

Franklin Main Street Festival!!

This weekend is the Franklin Main Street Festival down in historic Franklin, TN. Alie and I have never been and she got got an invite from Freshie and Zero to come down to the Mama Made Spring Market to check things out. (We love Freshie…she is awesome to work with and makes great jewlery! I picked up a pair of earrings from her for Alie for Valentine’s Day this year and Alie even picked up another pair later since she liked them so much.) Anyway, let’s get back on track…

It was a street festival and our little family got to go out and have some fun!! Little Maggie had such a good time with all the sights and sounds. We got to meet up with Alie’s friend Molly and my buddy Josh was suppose to meet us there too. (He didn’t make it there, so we swung past his house to visit with him for a while). Geeze…off track again…so we are at the festival walking around seeing everything, doing a little shopping, and just enjoying a gorgeous day. We got to spend some good quality time with Molly and even take some pictures…because I try to never leave the house without my camera!

Like I said previously, my buddy Josh was suppose to come meet us…but we got to go to his house instead to visit him. He hadn’t got to see Maggie since she was about a month old, so I think she surprised him on how big she had gotten. I think Alie managed to capture this one of “Uncle” Josh and Maggie, but with us both taking pics we don’t remember who did!

It was such a good day and we all had so much fun we didn’t want it to end!
