…josh and julia…

These precious twins have just grown so much! I haven’t seen them since they were newborns and I was so thrilled when their mother contacted me to do a six month session. Since the twins were able to sit up and we were having decent weather, I suggested that we venture to the Parthenon. What an evening we had there! The park was alive with people doing all kinds of things like dancing, playing music, playing games, and even strolling. Overall we had a great session and just look at what we were able to create:

If you recall a few months ago I did a maternity shoot for my wife’s Jump Rope for Heart coordinator, Mandy. Well, at the beginning of this year, she had her twins! They were a little premature, so we had to wait until they were of a healthy enough weight before putting them through a session. Photography sessions can really wear out an infant because of all the movement, so I like to be safe and allow them to be good and healthy before performing the session. They were just so sweet and precious! I just loved being able to work with this wonderful family again and I can’t wait to see these two little one’s grow! Enjoy some newborn goodness from Josh and Julia ūüôā

Just a few things…

First thing, I updated the image at the top of the blog so it may take a few moments for it to download. I like making small changes every now and then, but I was in the mood to take my “look” in a different direction. So I worked on this for a little while and I am pleased with my results. Also, my CD’s will also reflect this new look too!

I have also been enjoying my summer break. I have got to spend so much time with my family and I even took some time to capture a few of these moments. Here is my favorite from the start of the summer!

This is so wrong, but so funny ūüôā

We also went to a local outdoor mall a few days ago to let Maggie play in the fountain. It is one of those cool fountains that shoot up from the ground that you can run around in.

So today I got this big idea this morning to call my sister-in-law to see if her kiddos were home. I wanted to try out some new equipment I had acquired recently and I needed some willing volunteers so who better than my nieces and nephews! Well, Isaac and Luke were ready for fun, Mary was napping, JT was having some plumbing issues, and Anna was M.I.A.¬†I hadn’t got to spend time with the twins like this in a long while, so¬†I had so much fun with them this morning. We ran¬†around their yard, explored¬†the neighbors barn, played on their playset, and even had a little lesson on photography.¬†As the boys¬†and I were wrapping up, Mary came out to¬†play so I got to capture some long over due¬†pictures of her too! JT, was just having a rough time¬†between napping and diaper changes, so I didn’t get more than just a couple of shots of¬† him in his¬† crib.¬†¬†Here are a few shots of what I was able to capture this morning, and yes, I have a CD all ready for you Brea as reimbursement for putting up with me this morning!

…little league…

Well remember a few months ago when I posted pictures of the nephews at baseball practice? Well, they have finally got to have some games due to all the rain over the past month and here are a few shots from their game last night. It is so neat to see them growing up and getting better in baseball…

(a picture of both boys playing the field with a proud daddy out there with them)

And of course you have to love the batting pictures. The boys even got to be in the line-up right after each other!¬†It’s kinda hard to¬†see, but¬†while Isaac is batting Luke is on deck.

(little Luke is really giving it his all in this swing :))

Grandmother also came to watch the boys in action. Little Mary was just worn out from all the fun so she was napping!

Last but not least Issac earned the game ball from last nights game!

(Don’t worry Brea, Grandmother, and Juju; I will get you all of their pictures at the end of their season so you can make prints.)

…more baseball…

Well, I had a few more pics from baseball practice that I wanted to work on and I finally found time to do just that. I really enjoy a nice black and white picture so I thought these two would fit perfectly!

Baseball Practice

I love attending any event that allows me to bring my camera as I can always use the extra practice to improve. Well, I found out the other day that my nephews were starting baseball and they were going to have a practice this past weekend. Unfortunately¬†Brea & J¬†(their parents) weren’t able to take the boys to practice so Poppa Eddie was going to take them. ¬†Well, what could be better…first time ball players and a nice day to take pictures so I asked if I could go too ūüôā

So Poppie Eddie and I got to watch an hour of practice and here are a few of my favorites:

(this one reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes moment. I managed to catch them mid-stride chasing after the same ball)

¬†There are a few more on my Flickr as I didn’t want take up too much room here!
