What a sweet moment it is to fall in love! I had the pleasure of taking engagement pictures for this sweet couple a week ago and I was so pleased in how their portraits came out. Just to see that “look” in their eyes as they stared at each other, held hands, and touched each other. In all the photos you could see some part of them touching each other and the quirky little things they would do to each other just made my heart melt for them. Con’ and Luke I really appreciated you allowing me to capture this moment in your life. You all were awesome to work with and best of luck in your future together!

ryan…senior 2012

Ryan is kicking off a new season of seniors as school is about to begin! I was so grateful that Ryan’s parents wanted me to do his senior portraits. He is such a great young man and he has some wonderful ambitions for his future. Right now I hope his arm finishes healing so he can work on getting a baseball scholarship! Best of luck to you Ryan, and congratulations on entering your senior year!

This is one of my favorites…

Just a little fun on cropping one of Ryan’s photographs…

derek…senior 2011

What a privilege it was to have a session for this young man! When Alie and I bought our first home almost 8 years ago, Derek and his family were our neighbors! When I heard that he was a senior this year and was in need of senior pictures I jumped at the chance to help this great young man. We had been trying for months to schedule the perfect time for his session and we finally were able to get him! I think we got some fabulous portraits that his family will be able to cherish for a long while. Congratulations and we are all so proud of you, Derek!

Derek also took up soccer this year. We had to work in some pictures in his uniform just before they went to play for (and eventually win) the Robertson County Cup! This picture can only be appreciated in a larger view!!

…and baby makes four…

That’s right, our little family of 3 is increasing by 1 more! I have been asking Alie if she would like to do some maternity photos in hopes she would say yes. Here lately she has been so ready for all of the little nuances of being pregnant to go away just so she can enjoy this last pregnancy and her family. Our new son, who coincidentally is due in 5 days, has been giving his mother a hard time and I just wanted to do something to make her feel better about herself. She finally agreed to some “quick” pictures in the backyard a few weekends ago and said that she may be up for more in the coming weeks until his delivery. Lets just say that she hasn’t been in the mood for any more pictures since our quick session, so she finally let me post what I did have. I think she still looks just as beautiful as ever and of course sweet Maggie had to be included to make for some memorable photos!

And just a cute moment between Alie and Maggie who were making faces at each other 🙂

Senior 2011 Jessica – Fall

Wow! We have already jumped into fall and into another senior session with Jessica. With fall comes colorful leaves, frost, and cold weather. We had most of these for our shoot, but it seems that the colorful leaves were around for only a day or two. Either way, we still had a great time and we walked away with some great pictures! Just look!

This last one is one of my favorites!

Senior 2011 – Jessica

So I had the privilege a few weeks back to have a senior session with Jessica! She was such an amazing young woman who we will get the honor of seeing her again here as a result of unique request for her senior portraits. In addition to this shoot we will also another session in a fall, winter, and spring setting! It was great to be able to work with a client who is able to share ideas and respond to my requests, where I have grown accustom to children who do quite the opposite! Anyway, look at what a beautiful young woman Jessica is!

Sweet Savannah just happens to be one of my students! Let me just say, as a student she was top notch! This past school year she was a seventh grader in my advanced eighth grade math class and she did quite well! Her mother is also one of my coworkers and she called a little while back asking if I could help them with a project they had. Savannah is currently the Miss Tennessee Jr. National Teenager of 2010 and she was in need of some extra pictures that would be more casual showing her youthful side. So I jumped at the chance to help this sweet girl in any way I could. I have included a few pictures to show everyone what a beautiful young lady Savannah is and to tease her mom until I can deliver a disc! Overall we had lots of great pictures and I think Savannah will be able to make one or two of these work! Congratulations on your achievements thus far and best of luck with the pageants in the future! Such a smart, talented, and beautiful young lady will definitely be a triple-threat in the pageant world!

This last one happens to be one of my favorites! She was picking off the heads of the little wildflowers she had and tossing them in the wind! Such an innocent moment caught in the act!
