Sweet baby McClain has been growing over the past three months! She is such a good-natured baby and was full of smiles during the whole session! I appreciate her parents being willing to work with my schedule because of the arrival of Baden and the end of school. We ended up venturing down to Centennial Park for our session, where we came away with some of the most beautiful shots! I had such a great morning with McClain’s parents that you can totally tell how it related back to our photographs. Just take a look and see!

So we are in the season of family portraits! Spring has allowed everyone to finally come out and to enjoy the weather, and this family was first on my list. I have known them for a while now because I have had the privilege of teaching with this wonderful woman for the past three years! I was so happy she asked me to take some family pictures for her. Just look how sweet of a family this is with their two little girls:
So Mayzie’s parents wanted to do a 3 month session and it just happened to be warm enough to go outside. We were brainstorming ideas for places to go, and I mentioned Fairvue Plantation. Her parents loved the idea and we came away with a wonderful session. We were able to get many family pictures so they could have some choices for holiday cards! I love this time of year 🙂
So this family is near and dear to me. I used to work with the father of this family back before I switched to teaching! I remember taking he and his oldest son paintballing almost 8 years ago, seeing his daughter and wife come in to have lunch with him, and now I see his youngest two sons because they attend the school I teach at. This is an awesome family and I was touched when they asked if I would be interested in taking some family photos of them. We had a great time at the park walking around and taking pictures. The session was over as soon as it began, but look at what we were able to accomplish!
I love it when clients come back so I can see how much their little one’s have grown — or as in this case, how their family has grown! I did a shoot last year for this family and not only has their little boy grown up, they have added another sweet little boy named Baylor. When his mother contacted me asking if I would do a newborn session for him I couldn’t decline! Just take a look how sweet this little guy was.
My wife met this wonderful family a few months back and as luck would have it they were looking for a photographer for when their new baby Sam was born. Fortunate for me, Sam’s mommy did contact me right after he was born and asked for an infant session as well as some family pics. This family was just so sweet from the time I walked in their door until we finished the last shot. I know they have their hands full, but they are going to have a really hard time choosing what pictures to print! We ended up with so many wonderful pictures for this growing family that I am sure they will have many to adorn their beautiful home.
So I had three shoots right before Christmas and I was doing everything I could to get these pictures back to the clients so they could enjoy them during the holidays. You will have to forgive the informality of this post, but I was waiting to make a final post of these sessions just before ringing in the new year. First we are starting off with newborn Maisy. She is the daughter of a wonderful lady that I work with and I was so excited when she asked me to do the pictures.
Next we have Greta. She was another newborn, but this time she is the daughter of an existing client. Remember Jackson? This little sweetie is his new sister! It was neat to see how big he has grown and to see this great family again.
Last but not least, I had another new client thanks to a gift certificate. My sister-in-law, Brea, asked if I could donate something for an auction to benefit adoption. The sister of my client purchased the certificate and gave it to my new clients as a Christmas gift and they decided to get a family session. The Webster family was so sweet and their little family is just precious. I hope they, as well as all of my other clients, enjoyed their photos from our sessions!
Happy New Year to all and thanks for all of your support this year! I can’t wait to see what we can create in the new year!
