…9 month old mcclain…

I can’t believe that sweet little “baby” McClain is already 9 months old! I couldn’t believe it when her mom contacted me wanting to do this session and I was amazed on how time is just flying by. In efforts to make each session special, McClain’s parents wanted to go to Scarritt Bennett, over in Nashville, to take her pictures because that is where they were married. We met up early last Sunday and that place was just beautiful! Just look at all the gorgeous pictures we were able to create…

…hudson and sol…

I got to have another session with these sweet brothers. It hadn’t felt like it had been 3 months already, but when their mother called and asked for another session I was happy to oblige. We again ventured over to one of my favorite spots, Moss-Wright Park in Goodlettsville for their shoot. With the cold days we have been having and the limited availability of great natural light in the evenings, it was a miracle that we were able to get these shots. These boys loved being outside and although it was cold and it took a toll on them by the end of the session, we got some cute shots!

Check out how big Sol is getting:

And now for big brother Hudson:

And we always have to get a baseball themed picture for this family, but with the cold weather all of the ball fields were locked up. So, we had to go for the next best thing…a batting cage! It was all we had available, buy by this time they were ready to go home so we had a few tears in the picture.

So this wonderful lady contacted me after getting a referral from Bode’s mom and asked if I would be interested in doing a session down in Nashville at the Parthenon. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of going there before and I was so excited at the thought of the session. After some careful planning, we got the session booked and last weekend we made it happen! I sure appreciate Emilee’s parents coming out so early to take advantage of the early morning light, but the results are well worth it. Emilee was such a sweet little spirit, and she had these beautiful blue eyes that could melt your heart. I had such a great time getting to know this family and I sure hope they like their sneak peek!

Here was a precious moment. Emilee didn’t like being put down on the cold walkway, but the picture was certainly worth a few seconds on the ground!

I have been taking pictures of Hudson for a while now and I was so excited when his mother contacted me about taking his 9 month pictures and some of his new little brother. Hudson’s parents went to Ethiopiaabout a month ago to finally meet and bring home little Sol (Solomon) who was about 3 months old. It was such a joy to see these two brothers interacting and just to see this family as a whole loving on each other. These two little men are just adorable and were in quite the good mood for our session. I am so glad that their mother trusted me to capture these precious moments of these two brothers! Please enjoy 🙂
Lets start with Hudson:

And of course our baseball picture…

Now for Sol to have his turn in the spotlight:

And we have even started the same tradition with Sol…the baseball pic! I even c0nverted it to sepia tone to match the first one we took of Hudson.

Busy, busy, busy is the best way to describe this past month! Well, to top it off I got to see little Jaxon again and my how he has grown! He was just so much fun to spend the morning with and his parents are just the best. I had so many great pictures to choose from it was hard to narrow it down, but I am sure his parents will like all of them.

This last picture was so much fun. I had picked up this old milk crate to use as a prop, but I had been waiting until that “special” shoot for it to make its debut. I think that this was the perfect opportunity for it to do so!

Ahh…sweet baby Kaylor is getting sooo big now! She is 9 months old and she is turning into quite the adorable little girl. She is just growing so fast and moving so fast now too! It was all I could do to keep up with this little cutie, but we sure had a good time with her shoot. We battled with a lack of light at first, and then we got on a roll with some really cute pictures. Thanks to some great weather we even had an opportunity to go to a nearby park to get some final shots as seen in this sneak peek! It is so neat to see how much this little girl has grown and I can’t wait to continue watching her grow!

After processing all the pictures, I went back to these pictures and added a sepia tone to really add to the vintage feel of them. This really made me love them even more!

What a joy it has been being able to watch little Jack grow this year! It seems just like yesterday that his parents asked me to do his 3 month portraits and now he is 9 months old!! My goodness where has the time gone?! Once again I traveled to Jack’s house to take his pictures. It was so nice to see his parents again and little McKinley who got to be my “assistant.”

I had been waiting for Jack to start sitting up as it would really open up a lot of opportunities for pictures and my wish finally came true for this session. We had such a great time despite it being a little overcast, but we took advantage of the day and had the majority of the shoot outside! The weather was great, the company was great, and I think the pictures turned out great!! To Kim and Chris, I hope you like your preview 🙂

There were so many that I really enjoyed, but the last one just speaks to me some how. The innocent look along with a little hint of a smile and the natural glow as well as his eyes just draws me in. I will have to admit that this is one of my most favorites.

In addition to all of the pictures of Jack, I was also able to squeeze in some family pictures. I will generally try to take some family pics upon request, but I generally keep those for the family to see when I deliver the disk. These were so much fun and turned out so well that I just couldn’t keep these hidden! Here is a preview of one of the family shots:
