…growing with McClain…

Sweet baby McClain has been growing over the past three months! She is such a good-natured baby and was full of smiles during the whole session! I appreciate her parents being willing to work with my schedule because of the arrival of Baden and the end of school. We ended up venturing down to Centennial Park for our session, where we came away with some of the most beautiful shots! I had such a great morning with McClain’s parents that you can totally tell how it related back to our photographs. Just take a look and see!

And we can’t forget a precious family picture too!jdh0035b

…josh and julia…

These precious twins have just grown so much! I haven’t seen them since they were newborns and I was so thrilled when their mother contacted me to do a six month session. Since the twins were able to sit up and we were having decent weather, I suggested that we venture to the Parthenon. What an evening we had there! The park was alive with people doing all kinds of things like dancing, playing music, playing games, and even strolling. Overall we had a great session and just look at what we were able to create:

Such a sweet little boy! Six-month old Bode was full of smiles when we first started our session, but he soon found his lower lip and wouldn’t let it go. It didn’t matter in the slightest as we had so many cute pictures from our time together. He was such a happy little guy and we couldn’t have asked for better weather for an outstanding session. Bode’s mother was also wonderful to work with and I had such a great time getting to know her throughout our session. Well, enough of my words and now on to some great photographs.

This next one is one of my favorites:

Hudson and Harper at the park!

Well, little Hudson’s mommy contacted me for his 6 month pictures and asked if we could also take some pictures of his sister that just turned 2 years old. I was certainly happy to do this for them as his sister, Harper, is about the same age as my Maggie! So with much anticipation we scheduled and hoped for nice weather. Well, the time came and we had such a good time at the park during our session. I had so many great pictures to choose from, I decided to do a¬†BIG post as I want to show all of them off! I hope you like them as much as I do ūüôā

Let’s first start with little Hudson. He is just growing so fast! It must be all those “green vegetables”!!

Of course we had to get another baseball themed picture in there. Luckily we had a couple of good ones!

Here is Hudson and his big sister Harper.

And for my favorite. Harper’s mommy asked if I would mind replicating the picture that I did for Jackson¬†last month¬†where he had his daddy throwing him into the air. Harper and her daddy love to do this too and I am in love with this picture. I told Alie that I want one just like it of me and Maggie!
Check out the larger version too!

Hudson at Riverwood Mansion

Well, I got a request from my other Hudson’s parents to do his 6 month pictures! I always love it when clients come back as it assures me that they like my work and are pleased with the pictures they had received. Well, we scheduled for the Saturday following turkey day, and then the they sent an email back asking if I would be opposed to going down to the beautiful Riverwood Mansion¬†and having Hudson’s session. I am always happy to try new locations as it makes my job exciting and the possibilities endless. It turns out that Hudson’s parents were married at Riverwood and this is a sentimental location for them so it was even more meaningful to have his pictures taken there. Hudson’s parents were kind enough to¬†work out the details for allowing us to shoot at Riverwood since they have some “connections,” and¬†it was such a wonderful place that I am sure is just beautiful in the spring and summer time for weddings with all the gardens and trees everywhere. However, on this cold overcast November Saturday, it was a perfect backdrop for some precious fall portraits.

I had a few requests from the parents on some pictures, but they generally left the rest up to me. Hudson is still working on sitting up, but he had the hang of it for the duration of the session which made the session so much easier on everyone. I think we were able to get some wonderful shots and I can’t wait for Hudson’s parents to get to see all of them! I hope you all like your preview and thanks again for a wonderful experience at Riverwood!

Remember when I said he was still working on sitting up? Hudson took a tumble backwards while we were shooting out in the leaves and I captured this shot. Every time I look at this picture I giggle!

Hudson’s mommy was playing with him during this shot. I was going to ask that she move back just a bit, but what a wonderful moment to capture.

Love the hat on this little man!

Hudson’s daddy is a tall guy like me, so when I saw him playing with Hudson in these extra tall door ways, I just had to¬†get this shot. All I can say is I wish I had a picture like this:

…return of Jaxon!

I had the privilege of taking sweet little Jaxon’s 6 month pictures recently. It was so neat to be invited back by Jaxon’s parents to have another milestone session and to see how much he has grown! He is quite the little man and his pictures were so much fun. We stared off at Jaxon’s home, but with such great weather on the day of the shoot, I convinced Jaxon’s parents to go outside for more pictures. We ended up at a small park area near by for some wonderful shots. I hope this sneak peek is well worth the wait as these are just adorable ūüôā

When we start by getting poses this cute you know it is going to be a great session!

I had added this wonderful suit case to my bag of tricks thanks to my wife, and with her help I recently recovered the inside with this great polka-dot fabric. I think it makes for a wonderful prop…

Jaxon practicing his Gerber look…

Last but not least is a family picture. While we were at the park shooting, there was this wonderful shoreline with the curvy walkway that just inspired me. I knew that while I was taking these they would be good, but look at what a beautiful picture this turned out to be!

6-month-old Kaylor!

Little Kaylor came back for her 6 month pictures today! It is always great hanging out with Kaylor’s parents as they are so cool and laid back. Sweet Kaylor has gotten so big and she was so much fun today during our shoot as she was smiling so big and sitting up on her own now too! Today’s session was so much fun and it went by in a flash! From one setup to another, we were running around getting some great shots for this little cutie. Anyway, enough jabbering and onto the picture previews.

I like to call this one “Daddy’s Girl!”

And this was among my favorites. It reminds me of a porcelain doll on a stand. What a beautiful little girl Kaylor has grown to be.
