Sweet Homecoming…

So I am a little behind on my pictures so I am playing catch-up! A few weeks back Brea asked me if I would be interested in coming to the airport to shoot some pictures for some friends of the family. They were returning home from Russia where they had just adopted little Abby. Their plane was a little late coming in, but we had such a great turnout from all of their family. These are just a few as I wanted to keep these more private for their family to enjoy, but I wanted to post a few. Congratulations again on welcoming this sweet little girl into your family. I can’t wait to come do a portrait session for you!

Here is Abby getting some love from her big sister. They had just endured a long flight with I am sure many connections. Abby was worn out!

Maggie’s First Birthday!!

This weekend we celebrated Maggie’s first birthday! I am still waiting to do her 1 year photo session, but until then all I have is some cute birthday pictures to share 🙂 Alie and I decided to serve cupcakes instead of the traditional birthday cake and Maggie had one special cupcake.

Kaylor Collage

As stated in my Session Information page, I do custom requests and can get professional prints. Although we were already taking Kaylor’s 3 month portraits, her parents asked if I could do a “hands and feet type collage.” Well, I worked in some specific pictures during our session to do just this. I worked on this collage and sent her parents a sneak peek of it a few weeks back to ensure they loved it. It was met with a positive response…so much so that they orded a print of it. Well, the collage is 20″x24″ and I had it mounted to keep it sturdy and to keep it from wrinkling due to the size and weight. I think Kaylor’s parents will just love it as it will be a great piece for years to come.

…Jake…

Apparently word is getting around that I can take a decent picture 😉

Jake’s mom contacted me and said her sister works with Chris (from Jack’s photo sessions) and wanted to schedule a 6 month session for her son, Jake! I was thrilled and it made for the third consecutive weekend being booked for a photo shoot. Jake’s parents were so nice and welcoming when I went to their home. After looking around for a bit and exchanging pleasantries about our shoes (slip-on Chuck Taylors rock!) we got down to business. Jennifer and Matt were just the coolest…laid back, relaxed, and welcomed each one of the ideas that I posed for pictures. There were so many pictures that turned out better than I had expected and I think that Jake’s parents will be very pleased overall!

Here is a little sneak peak of what to expect when I deliver all of your photos!!

Baby TOES!! Who doesn’t love their little piggies 🙂
(this is something new for my fans. I worked some sepia tones in on some images to add to the feel of these images. I thought this processing was quite fitting for Jake’s parents)

Last but not least again…my favorite. Jake resting in a bed of daylillies…
